9 Steps To Natural Glowing Skin

9 Steps To Natural Glowing Skin

Everyone wants beautiful, healthy skin. However, in the kind of world we live in today, that is quite a feat. Indeed, the road to natural glowing skin requires a lot of effort and a bit of trial and error to find a routine that works for you. If you want to have radiant skin, keep reading.

Why You Have Dull Skin

Younger people naturally have glowing skin, even without much effort. However, as you get older, your skin becomes dull and dry. There are different factors that lead to dull skin, and age is only one of them. Stress, inadequate sleep, poor diet, pollution, sun damage, smoking, and alcohol intake are major contributors to dull skin. The damage they cause slows down the skin’s ability to repair, preventing it from maintaining its natural radiance.

Avoiding the factors that contribute to dull skin is the first step to achieving glowing skin. However, following a natural skin care routine will help the skin restore its health and have a lasting glow. Here are the 9 steps you should take:

1 – Double Cleanse

Our skin is regularly exposed to dirt and pollution. On top of this, if you do not properly remove your makeup, its residue may clog up pores. Because of this, using ordinary soap is not enough. Nowadays, an oil-based makeup remover is necessary for thorough cleansing. Our Virgin Coconut Oil works well for this purpose. Pair this with the Pore Cleansing Facial Wash With Clay, which will remove dirt and debris without the use of harsh chemicals.

2 – Exfoliate

Gentle exfoliation removes excess dead skin on the outer layer of the skin. Without it, dead skin may clog up the pores. That is why regular exfoliation is vital in any skin care routine for glowing skin. However, be careful with how often and how vigorous you exfoliate. The general rule is that less is more. For those with sensitive skin, exfoliating once or twice a week is enough, while others may be able to tolerate daily exfoliation.

There are two types of exfoliators: physical and chemical exfoliators. Oatmeal is a great example of a physical exfoliator, while coffee scrubs are to be avoided due to their abrasive quality. Chemical exfoliators rely on enzymes to break down the layer of dead skin. The Green Leaf Face Scrub is a prime example of a gentle chemical exfoliator that removes dead skin and reveals radiant skin.

3 – Facial Masks

After exfoliating, it is important to hydrate the skin if you want it to be healthy. Using a facial mask right after exfoliating allows the mask to penetrate deep into the skin.

There are numerous types of facial masks on the market—sheet masks, sleeping masks, and clay masks to name a few. The type of facial mask you should use depends on what your skin needs. For instance, those with dry skin may benefit from sheet masks which are hydrating. Meanwhile, those with mature skin may benefit from a clay mask with anti-aging properties such as the Temu-Temu Face Mask.

4 – Serums For Bright Skin

To have skin that glows, you need to aim for an even skin tone. Look for products with a brightening effect. These are usually vitamin C serums, hyaluronic acid, and niacinamide, which slow down pigment production. Keep in mind, however, that vitamin C serums cause photosensitivity that will make you more vulnerable to sun damage.

5 – Address Your Skin’s Needs

In addition to dull complexion, if you have other issues such as acne, dark circles, or wrinkles, you need to focus on those, too. The Acne Night Serum and Acne Day Serum prevent the reappearance of acne and minimize the appearance of blemishes. Meanwhile, the Acne Treatment Oil helps reduce the size of pimples and get rid of blemishes.

Dark circles, on the other hand, may be resolved with eye creams and a regular sleeping schedule. Wrinkles and other signs of aging may be addressed with anti-aging products like Tamanu Oil.

6 – Moisturize, Moisturize, Moisturize!

Dehydration is notorious for causing dull complexion, which is why a good moisturizer is indispensable in a natural skin care routine. Moisturizers promote healthy skin by addressing numerous issues. The Natural Face Serum promotes elasticity and softens and soothes the skin. When combined with a humectant like hyaluronic acid, the Natural Face Serum can promote radiant skin from the inside, making your skin look younger and softer. Humectants help the skin better absorb and trap moisture for healthier and better-looking skin.

When using multiple products, make sure to give your skin some time to absorb one before layering another. And remember to include the neck area when applying moisturizer.

7 – Don’t Forget Your Lips

The lips are an often neglected part of the face. They may be dry due to exposure to certain environments, constant licking, matte lipsticks, or dehydration. Lips, however, complete one’s radiant look. Protect yours from chapping with a moisturizing lip balm. Use it before you sleep, before you apply lipstick, or as needed throughout the day.

8 – Use Sunscreen

As mentioned earlier, sun damage is one major cause of dull skin, and it may cause sun spots as well. That is why it is important to protect the skin from sun damage during the day, even when you do not plan on going out and even on cloudy days. Never forget to apply sunscreen after your whole skin care routine. Use a sunscreen with SPF 15 or higher to get substantial protection.

9 – Moisturize Your Body

Although people usually just mean the face when they talk about glowing skin, the truth is that your body is a big part of the discussion. You will look and feel much better when your entire body, including your face, is moisturized. You can choose from a variety of coconut lotions and body butter for that purpose.

It's was a shame that we didnt know how dangerous the sun was back in the 70's where we lathered up with coconut oil and laid on the beach all day on weekends. Yes we had great Tan's but now the damage has caught up with us in the form of Skin Cancer. It is so important to use a 50+ SunScreen everyday even if it's cloudy. I make sure my kids do this everyday

Thanks for sharing this beneficial information. Who doesn’t want glowing skin? I do all of these steps. Since my skin is extremely oily I do exfoliate several times a week to aid in preventing clogged pores, which can happen quickly with oily skin.

Love this article! I have very complicated skin and I'm still looking for my "holy grail" skin products. I'm 45, so I'm battling wrinkles/loss of elasticity. However, I also have oily, acne prone skin. So a lot of anti-aging products end up causing breakouts. Exfoliating and clay products cause redness and irritation. I have found that sheet masks with hyuralonic acid work very well with my skin. I'm happy to have came across this blog post in hopes of finding skin care products that work great for me!
