Regulations around products that touch the skin, flammable materials, essential oils (which are classified as pesticides in many countries), liquids, and controlled substances have become far more stringent globally. What was once straightforward now involves multiple layers of compliance, documentation, and inspection — and that comes at a cost. Our shipping fees reflect this new reality, and we appreciate your understanding.

All Utama Spice products are made in Indonesia to high quality standards and largely by hand with limited machinery in our big, new manufacturing building that we sourced, built and run on our own. We are also using the best local ingredients.

Shipping to the United States

Shipping to the United States is simple and fully inclusive. Your shipping fee covers express shipping, customs clearance, and all applicable duties. There are no surprise charges — what you see at checkout is what you pay, end to end.

Shipping to All Other Countries

International shipping (outside the United States) is more complex. Shipping fees cover express shipping only and do not include customs clearance fees, duties, import taxes, or other local charges. These fees are collected by the logistics company or your country’s customs authority, not by us. We have no control over these amounts and cannot collect them on your behalf.

Customs clearance fees vary by country and are typically in the range of 20–30 USD, though they may differ depending on your country’s regulations. For EMS shipments, some countries charge only duties without a separate customs clearance fee. Please check with your local customs office if you are unsure what to expect.

Free Shipping

Free shipping applies to single orders over 100 USD. The threshold is calculated based on the order amount after discounts and does not include customs clearance fees, duties, import taxes, remote area surcharges, or other local charges.

Remote and Special Delivery Areas

If your delivery address is in a remote area or a special delivery zone, additional shipping charges may apply. We will contact you separately if this affects your order before proceeding.

Tracking Your Package

Once your package has shipped, we will provide a tracking number so you can follow its progress on the logistics company’s website. If tracking shows your package is in transit or delivered but you have not received it, please contact the logistics company directly to open an investigation. We are not responsible for reshipment or refund in cases where tracking records confirm the package was dispatched.

Shipping Methods

We ship via express courier (FedEx, DHL) and EMS, depending on the product type, your destination country, and current logistics restrictions. Shipping will take place within 1 to 4 business days from your order date — we aim to ship the next day but may ship later depending on circumstances. Express courier typically delivers within 4 to 7 business days; but it can take approximately 8 or more business days in special cases.

If you would like to request a specific carrier (FedEx, DHL, or EMS), please leave a note when placing your order and we will do our best to accommodate the request. Your package will always require a signature on receipt.
