4 Tips To Protect Your Skin Against Dry Winter Air
Winter is a beautiful time of year, but of all the gifts of the season, dry skin is one we’d all like to avoid. Cold air, blustery winds, and lack of natural humidity can wreak havoc on your skin. Sometimes it can be so bad you are left with sore, cracked skin. Luckily there are some measures you can take to protect against the winter air and keep your skin soft, supple, and glowing no matter what the weather is like. Here are four tips to keep your skin fresh this winter:
Create A Barrier Against Dry Air
Your best defense against cold air is with a good offense. By creating a moisture barrier, you can protect your skin from becoming dry. Our all natural body mist sprays create a perfect barrier. Applying a thin layer can block the dry, cold air without leaving an oily residue. Lightweight and gentle, our body sprays are absorbed into the skin and help protect you from drying out.
Replenish The Moisture In Your Skin
Even with extra precautions, sometimes your skin will dry out. In those cases, you need the powerful moisturizing effect of a natural body butter. Unlike lotion which is typically 70% water, body butter is undiluted and provides impressive hydrating power. We have a full line of body butters made with 100% natural ingredients in a variety of delightful fragrances to suit any taste. When you feel your skin is becoming dry, simply massage in this penetrating moisturizer and see how quickly the glowing texture of your skin returns.
Protect Your Lips
The area most prone to drying out is your lips because they are exposed all day to the harsh weather. The best protection for your lips is a natural lip balm. Lip balm works to both replenish and restore lost moisture and acts as a protective barrier so that your lips do not dry out. Our lip balms are made with 100% natural ingredients and come in a variety of tasty flavors.
Renew With A Hydrating Exfoliating Scrub
Dry air not only creates the problem of dry skin. This dry skin can start to build up clogging your pores and making your skin look dull and lifeless. The best way to combat the build up of dry skin is with an exfoliating scrub. Here is a recipe for a DIY body scrub that can keep your skin looking bright and healthy all winter:
DIY Body Scrub
Ingredients:
- Sea salt 3 tbsp
- Bicarbonate of soda 1 tbsp
- Virgin coconut oil 1 tbsp
- Rosemary essential oil 5 drops
- Tangerine essential oil 3 drops

Hi Tania
If you store your scrub-mixture in a sealed container and keep it cool, we keep ours in the fridge, it can last up to a month – although you will probably use it all before then it’s so great.
